Will it fly like I want

First, I must confess last fall I bought a DJI Phantom to fly my Gopro on. Well as I'm sure you're all aware, I outgrew it fast. No more fooling around for me, I want a real multirotor. Below is a parts list I have assembled, I would appreciate it if you guys could look it over and see if I have made any mistakes. I really tried to do all of my research before hopping on the board and asking noob questions. Regardless, I am still a noob and I apologize in advance for my ignorance. My goal is a stable video platform my camera/gimbal/FPV payload is about 500g.

Frame (I believe it's an f550 clone)

Flight Controller (this is my major concern, will I be able to accomplish GPS lock with this. Also does this need a compass or is that part of GPS)

Motors 6X (I am concerned about lift, should I be?)

Battery 2X (with my lift conern, it seems I may be able to increase thrust by going to a 14.8v battery, will this affect Flight Controller/ESC)

Easy? You call that easy?
LOL.. there's no fun in that.. I already bought an RTF, I'm ready to build my own...Evidently DJI has their own version of the fanboy..just like Apple..

Do you always make friends this easily?

I didn't say RTF, buy a kit and put it together.

Of course you're welcome to use the components you've listed above. It will kind of fly for a bit. :nevreness:
