A few years ago I became sick and tired with hunting for specialized cables...always too long or too short, never matching.....so today I make most of my cables myself. One of the tools I use most ist a crimping tool to make my own servo plugs. It's really cheap and easy (with a little practise)
Here you can see how it's done:

....or just Google for "Futaba crimping tool"......

Probably going to sound a bit weird, but I love buying tools.....

If you want to get the best, try these ones:
http://www.irwin.com/tools/pliers-adjustable-wrenches/6-1000v-wire-stripper
http://www.irwin.com/tools/pliers-adjustable-wrenches/self-adjusting-wire-stripper
Both are adjustable. I got them both, will never change to anything else....I had a few of the pliers you suggested (http://www.hansenhobbies.com/products/connectors/tools/) but was never hapyy with them. They tend to wear out and if the wire doesn't fit exactly, the result is not really good.
