What is the best way to calculate flight times?

Hi everyone

I would like to know the calculation that gives you a really good approximation of flight time because the ones I have been getting are not anything like the times I have been getting flying.

My drones AUW = 2.2Kg

Thrust data is here: http://www.hobby-wing.com/arris-3508-multi-copter-outrunner-brushless-motor.html

yet I am using a 13 x 4 prop so 50% lift amp draw = 3 Amp per motor which gives 9A draw overall

I'm using a 6s 22.2V with 5200Mah

Therefore wattage = 22.2x5.2 = 115.4
Using the table for 13x4 props using 22.2V the total wattage = 160 for 50% throttle

so therefore

115.4 x (60/160) = roughly 44 mins

Therefore is this the flight time I should be getting. I would like your help on this matter. Is there other ways to calculate if so I would love to know.

Thanks

=)

Set you timer to say like 4 minutes and then recharge your battery. Afterward see how many Mah you put back into the battery and then divide that by 4. That will tell you how many mah you use in one minute. Take 80% of your battery power and divide that by what you get after battery charge.
Example:
3S 2000Mah battery ....80% equals 1600Mah
4 minute flight time....4 minutes/800Mah recharge=200Mah per minute
80%=1600Mah/200 equals 8 minutes

My brain farts keep me from getting things correct sometimes.
