What gimbal for stills photography?

I need a gimbal that capable of dealing with a range of lenses so I'm assuming that brushless is no good for me and that I need to be looking at a servo gimbal.
I don't need 3 axis.

The camera will be either a Panasonic GH3 or a Sony NEX7.

What do you guys recommend?

It depends if you are willing to build your own or buy something ready built.
I have 2 Rusty's gimbals for my stills work. They are servo based but thats not a problem for stills. The nice thing about the Rusty's gimbal is that you can build it to suit the size of camera you want to carry.

Its not pretty but it works really well for stills.

Actually he doesnt do the servo based one anymore, only the brushless gimbal version.

On top of that Rusty has been doing this for a few years and his shipping and customer service are superb.

This is the thread for the gimbal, starting from its original servo based idea to its current brushless form
