Waypoint with wookong-----Does it need internet to work????

Just want to see if someone can clarify rather the Wookong M way-point needs a internet connection for it to work, or it can work base on the take off points??


I read the way-point manual and didn't find they mention about internet connection.

Is not necessary. You can fly safely.
Internet connection is only necessary to configure the Flight Controller.

You'll need it to update google earth if you want detailed maps, but I don't think it's essential. Personally I run the ground station software on my MS Surface Pro and tether it to my mobile phone with 3G/4G. Works great in the middle of nowhere, so long as I have coverage.
