Voltage from PMU PW lead

Has anyone ever taken a voltage reading from the PW lead (two outside wires) on the PMU that plugs in to the MC. My shows 12.3 volts and a friend of mine is showing 6 volts. We are both using 3S batteries and he has also tested with a 4S with the same results. I disconnected the lead from the MC pulled the boot back and on the back of the connector I could touch the probes of my volt meter to the two metal pins that are showing.

I quess. The only problems i have heard of PMU related and voltage is that some fired there receiver using the BEC in it to fire the RX.

I got an email from Eric at DJI and here is what he said....

Hi, Ken and Richard:

I have tested the WooKong-M Power Module by myself withdifferent battery, now all the PMU with 6v is correct.

We have the earliest version of PMU with 12V, but except thatversion, now all the PMU with 6V.

I emailed him back and asked why they changed. Maybe as you said it was frying some receivers. I'm running SBus Futaba so it is powering my receiver thru X2 on the MC.

Here is the answer from DJI as to why they went to 6 volts out on the PMU's now.

Hi, Rich:

It’s not necessary for you to change to 6V voltage, we change it to make sure the 2s battery can be used, thanks!
