unable to connect to computer

Checking to see if anyone has been successful in running the naza software on a Mac computer with Parallels. Before I go and buy a small windows based laptop, I installed Parallels and then was successful in downloading naza assistant and firmware 4.02. After I connect the naza to the mac the LED changes from blinking orange to steady green. But there is no connectivity...when I click "test motors" I get message stating "please connect to controller". I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and get the same message. I was successful in connecting when I used a friends PC laptop.

Seems like I am close to saving a few hundred bucks but not quite there.

So...anybody out there know if I'm barking up the wrong tree?

Fro some reason there are different USB cables out there. I had the same issue... very frustrating. I changed to the cable that came with my phone and bingo... it worked. About half of the cables I own work, the others.. not so much.
