Ultra low cost, parts list for a GoPro grade quad build

Bartman

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
Hey guys, the question has come up time and time again, what does it cost to build a cheap quad big enough for a GoPro with FPV equipment included.

So let's put our collective heads together, forget for a minute what our favorite brands are and talk about an ultra cheap parts list for the new folks to consider.

List your suggestions and I'll try to keep track of everything. Feel free to argue the merits of good used equipment vs. inexpensive new parts.

Here's the basic run-down

Frame
Motors
Props
ESC's
Flight Control System
Gimbal
Camera (doesn't have to be a GoPro if we're really talking cheap!)
RC System
Batteries
Charger

Who wants to go first??

I just picked up the trifecta frame from HK. Not the cheapest but looks very portable and with carry a GP. Haven't decided on motor setup but I did just buy a bunch of plush 12amp esc's so I'll be using them

I posted this for you in the other thread, I'm looking at this for my self.

I see why your suggestions are expensive...
There are much cheaper options:

Why not use your gopro as the fvp camera? http://laserbgc.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=64
or something simular. I'm picking up a small plug from ebay .99 cents that will go into usb port and hook into a transmitter. It will also offer 5v for charging gopro battery.
This thing looks like it will have limited range at 20mW. Plus, aren't you concerned the mounting of the clover antenna on top of the GoPro will be problematic with your frame/gimbal? Just wondering.
