UK transmitter law

In the UK maximum transmitter power on 5.8GHz is 25mW. Does anyone know if its possible to get a license to use a higher Watt transmitter, like a 600mW one.

I've tried looking on OFCOM's website as they distribute radio frequencies as far as I can tell and I can't find any info.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

No it is not possible to get a license- well, one that is practical anyway. You can get a one but it is time, date and location specific so you would need to apply and pay for one each time you wanted to go flying. To stay legal you need to use 25mW or under.

25 mW is not much. Is there a similar limit for the 1,2-1,3 GHz band? If not, it would be worth considering using the lower frequency.
