Twitchy motors on an S800

Well after much head scratching, and with the help of my good friend Steve, we managed to get my Jeti DC 16 talking to the S800 and got her in the air for the first time. We used the " standard " gains and she hovered pretty well but not as solid as a 550/naza. S800 only had one 6S battery on board so not laden. I thought the motors were a little twitchy but having no experience I couldn't say either way. Today I just spooled up the motors and let her idle on the ground and I noticed two motors idling up a bit faster than others, but singly, trading off and sticks centered. When I took her up to about 5 ft in a hover, she would rise and fall a foot or so but not fast, also she wouldn't hold position in x/y as well as the naza. It was quite still with no wind. Can that be tuned out or is that to be expected. S800 is stock other than Secraft retracts. TIA dubliner.
