Turnigy Tachometer - DOA

I just received a Turnigy Tachometer and it is mostly dead. Can someone tell me if there are suppose to be parts where the bare pads are?

mine had a flat battery out of the box....

So did mine. I swapped it with one that had 2.8 volts in it. Maybe that still isn't enough voltage.

I'll be darn. It was the battery. I ran it off my power supply at 3V and it does work.

I looked at the power curve of a 2032 battery and by the time it drops from 3V to 2.8V it has already spent much of it's power. Live and learn.
