Turnigy 9x Failsafe switch set up

Nearly ready with settings but cannot properly set up the failsafe switch. I want to use the gear switch to act as forced failsafe mode. I have done this using PROG123 and assigning each mix1, mix2, mix3 to force the over ride of the 3 way switch.

Trouble is MIX3 is different to MIX1 and 2. It has 'tune' and a curve instead of 'uprate'

This means when over riding GPS it does;t work. It is not able to switch into failsafe. This is probably very confusing but may make sense to anyone who has gone through this procedure.

Alternatively there may be another method to set up the override switch.

My #2 son is setting up a Naza Lite equipped quad using a 9X and he has been watching some youtube videos on how to do it, you need to set up in heli mode to get the three way switch for mode switching.

He will most likely flash with new firmware to allow better usage of the hardware.

My plan is to buy him a used Futaba T8FG Super.

Yes, I set up in Helimode and got the 3 way switch working. Failsafe also working but still not in GPS. I assign MIX3 but too fiddly and different in behaviour to MIX 1 and 2 which work fine.
