travelling with your copter

I have a project abroad and need to travel with my Cinestar 8. It is a big beast. Any thoughts on the best way to transport.
I assume i have to dismantle the whole unit. What are other pilots doing on big models?

We break down the Cinestar into a Pelican 1620 case. All the support gear goes in another Pelican 1620 case. This has worked well for us. I carry on the lipo batteries. Make sure you allow for plenty of time to go through security as they will take a look at every battery (as they should).

I should also note that you'll want to put the batts in Lipo guard bags and tape off the leads with electrical tape so as to avoid ANY possibility of a battery shorting out. This makes everyone involved feel better about transporting these batteries.
