Hello out there,
I own a custom built Flame Wheel F650 Heavy Lifter and am using Tiger Motors U3's. I originally started out running Graupner 12x6' eProps @ 22 grams per prop, but am running a little low on lifting ability. My current AUW is 5443 grams with 1434 grams of possible payload according to eCalc. If I change out my props to Master Airscrew 12x6x3's it will increase the prop weight by an additional 22 grams per prop but also increase my payload ability by an additional 1406 grams, which would be plenty for my needs. So my question is will a 44 gram prop on a U3 be too much weight for the motor and thus provide problems in control? I know I will have to make adjustments to my gains. Thanks in advance for any replies.
