Tiger pancake motors w/ Tiger ESC's

Good morning everyone.

Has anyone successfully run the Tiger 4008 12 and/or 18 with the Tiger ESC's? I understand I can flash SimonK firmware to other ESC's but I'd also like to have an off-the-shelf option.

i'm running MT4008-18 motors on the bench with Tiger 40A ESC's and 6S packs. They seem to be fine. I've ordered 6 more of the motors and 8 of Tiger's new 30A 6S ESC's for a new build so that ought to be up and running in about two weeks or so. I've also ordered a few of the MN4012 400KV motors to try with the same Tiger 30A 6S ESC's . I'll post info on the whole shebang once i have something good or bad to post.

I hadn't looked at the 4012 kv400 motors. Do you know which is the better motors between the 4014-9 kv400 and the 4012-11 kv400? looking at the specs they look very similar. The 4012 is 22g lighter which is a good thing, but other than that I'm not sure.

I was about to order the Tiger 40amp esc's for my skyjib X4 and emailed Tiger for more info and pricing and for some reason they keep trying to push there new 30amp 6s ESC. What is so special about this one. I was thinking 40amp would be better for a heavy lifter?
