Sudden drift problem

Something strange happened to me while flying my WKM hexa- after7-8mins into 2nd flight, in GPS mode, the hexa started drifting into one direction (60 degrees forward) like it got constant stick command, but all sticks were in the middle point.
Switching to alt or rate mode didn't help - is still drifted. I think the speed of the drifting was increasing and I had to fight it to bring it back. I landed, disarmed and re-armed the hexa and it flew steady like nothing happened.

I run 30 AMP plush ESCs (stock firmware) with 2814-11 770KV on 12X3.8 up and 12X6 down props. The ESCs get pretty hot - I guess from all the fast switching. The hexa govers at about 50 AMPs.

What can be the cause of my problem ? Maybe overheating ESCs ?

I've had that before. No idea what it is. It seems to sort itself out after a restart.

I have also had the GPS stop working, land and restart and it's fine again...

Very disturbing if that happens at 300m altitude !!

I've been getting a weird YAW glitch in gps hold. Not sure if I need to tune down the gain from 100 but it is sluggish enough at 100.

I would never fly that high! Max legal altitude in the UK is about 100m and for my shots I do between 30-80m.

What I always do just after I take off, is to hover at 2 or 3m altitude in GPS mode, just to make sure everything is okay. After a short while, when I'm sure GPS is locked and it can hover nicely, I take it up further.
