stainless hardware to hold retracts on a 450 frame?

I know the top of the power distribution board is positive and the bottom is negative, so wondering if it's a bad idea to use small stainless steel screws to secure a set of retractable landing gear?

I'm not talking about drilling through the frame, I'm just talking about putting some small hardware in the slots of the bottom plate to grab ahold of the aluminum top plate of the retracts.

Worried it will cause a short. Is this a legitimate concern, or do you literally have to drill through the power dist board to cause a short?
