Solo - 3 Axis gimbal - HD downlink

Is the the Solo 3 axis gimbal a true 3 axis that can do 360 Pan?
If so what about the landing gear coming into the shot as they are not retractable.

How is the HD video downlink achieved? 5.8Ghz ?
Someone at NAB told me it was WiFi which I find hard to believe as WiFi would be super restrictive.

Not sure, it isn't hard to imagine a flight controller knowing where the landing gear are and so letting the heli yaw instead of pannning the gimbal but i don't know if the SOLO does that. other flight controllers have been programmed to do it but don't know about SOLO.

I can't find the manual on the 3DR website and I don't see any detailed specs either. They may be still working on the details.
