Hi every one,

I am in process of producing a thin dome cover for our skyjib with carbon fiber to cover the electronics from moister. As we are already producing a mall I thought this might be interesting for other SKYJIB owners as well.

Depending on how many orders we can place the price may vary between 80 to 140 euros each.

It's not a crash cage .. Just a light thin carbon fiber cover to cover the crash cage just to protect the electronics from outside factors like moister dust etc!

Yup, the new Skyjibs come with a clear plastic dome as well. Are you building this for the v1 sky jib?
But carbon does sound nice.

We are making this for skyjib V1 .. It will be placed over the crash cage not under. I have the clear dome as well which has to be placed under the cage, but if you are using DJI with larger ecs it won't fit. We want it to cover the whole thing and make the skyjib more aerodynamic.

I think it will improve the aerodynamic some what ... but don't expect wonders! It will make the skyjib looking more slick and protect your electronics at the first place... also a nice place to put your company logo on :) we are also working on 2 other projects as well.

-prop guards for the 14" props
-a V-lock type lipo design (no wires, no plugs and no velcro of straps) slide and lock system.

Let me know if you guys would be interested to get something like this ...

The battery, how do you determine the dimension most universal? Interesting though. In essence, all the hard connections are contain inside this pod? And rest of it wirings are properly 'hidden' or route to PDB/ESC/FC?

As for the dome, is it cheaper to replace/replicate the crash gates than a dome cost? I have the SJ8 V1 but using the PDB and the dome will not fit over the 40A ESC layout demanded by the PDB.

Hi al,

The batteries will slide on to a plate which can be mounted on the booms! From the plate it's up to u how you do your wiring.

At first we will make a housing for our 5S Red Chunk lipos, these are so far the best we have used! We will also make reengineer our lipo charger for a faster workflow!

It al depends how big the market is, It would be nice to produce the lipo housing for under 30 euros ! And the plate for under 80 euros ..
