Scorpion motors, how attach prop

Call me a noob.... I am lol, i havrnt bought yet but am thinking about getting some scorpions, how do i attach the prop... It doesnt have a threaded end like the dji. Are there threaded ends say, 8mm that attach as a pinion would on my helis?

There is a prop adaptor that comes with the motor it has treads on one end. It slides onto the motor shaft then the prop and then you screw the prop nut onto the threads and down onto the prop. When you tighten the prop nut the prop adaptor clamps to the motor shaft via a compression fit.

Nice, thanks man. These adapters are included in the scorpion packaging, what would be a good replacement for the djo 2212 in scorpions line. Yet using the same opto 30 amp esc

I'm running the SII-2212-885 and they are smooth as glass with my F450 and I'm using the FunFly 30 amp ESC. I think the SII-2212-960 would be a good motor also. I'm running 10 x 4.7 props.

Well I think it is the rpm of the motor basically. The best way to compare the motors is go to Scorpion's web site and compare all the specs for both motors.

U think that series but the 1075 would be overkill on my 550? Simple bolt on or did u need to do some modification for mounting

The stock motors are 920 so the 1075 would probably be ok especially if you plan on lifting cameras and FPV equipment, but it might also cut down on your run time.

Hmmm do i drop 400 or stick with stock lol if anything at least id have spares for the 450 haha, thanks for your thoughts man.

I didn't go stock because I understand that their motors take a special prop. I guess the prop hub is different. Maybe someone with a stock unit could chime in about that.

I have stokkers on 450, the hub will sit an 8mm prop perfectly, however it does have a flat section opposite eachother so no problems for me, i have 10 inch graupners on it havent tried anything else other than graups amd stock
