I'm an R/C flyer in Saugerties, NY. About 26 years ago a full scale pilot and R/C pilot friend got me into flying R/C planes in Seattle Washington, I moved, got out of the hobby for quite a while and when I got back into it I went after helicopters which were my true interest. I fly mostly rotor-craft but I like planes as well and now I'm getting into multi-rotors. Model aircraft are just an excuse for me to attach electronics to an aircraft. FPV flying is a blast and I'm looking forward to mounting my FPV equipment to a multi-rotor (hex or octo, haven't decided yet.).
I fly at two fields, the Sawyer R/C Flyer's field in Saugerties, NY and a semi-private field down in Orange County, NY.
If anyone's into geeking out on the electronics or technology of R/C and is in the Hudson Valley in NY drop me a line. I'd love to check out what other people are working on and share some ideas.
