Santa brought me a Garmin GTU10

Very light weight and has a bunch of nice features.. Anyone else have one? Any tips? I did purchase the $4.99 a month plan to show the tracking on it..

I have one for one of my dogs but have used it on my quad a few times the only thing I found was it sometimes gave me issues with the Satellite lock but that may have been coincidental. Otherwise it's a good bit of kit.

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
thanks for the video. it looks like it needs to be within cell coverage to do its thing. cool gizmo.

It uses satellites and/or cell towers.. I haven't used it out in the sticks yet but will report back if I do.. Works as it should when near home.. The cheap gps device on Amazon/eBay that uses a GSM sim card needs cell towers..

I've seen some other vids with guys using wrist watch GPS' on kites that track their flight pattern through google earth. I just keep wondering why these aren't incorporated into our already "advanced" systems yet...
