S500 pcb Build

I have an S500 pcb in the box. This will be my 3rd quad. Previous quads are 2 DJI Flames with Naza V1 with 1045 props and standard DJI motors.

Reason for S500 is mainly the arm design. Looking for a better stability better performance on getting down.

Looking to build it and considering what motor/props to use. I will be going 3s for the battery.

I was considering 1247 or 1238 for prop. Just saw a picture of a build that looked to be 12 inch props. Not much room between the tips if the is correct. I'm curious if this hurts performance and creates excessive noise?
Also considering using a different controller. This is mostly price driven. It would have the same capabilities as Naza V1

Primary reason I fly is for photography.

Thanks Steve

Still haven't flown it yet. Waiting on some bullet connectors and FC somewhere in the mail between here and Hong Kong.

I had seen an ARF version offered on Ebay that was close to this. Like I was as saying - my intent is to use mine for a photography platform. I want to slow things down a bit to keep the vibration at bay.

i'd be interested to hear how yours does for you.
