Robbing analog video from the NEX 5N?

Bartman

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
Hi everyone out there in multi-rotor land.......

I was just looking at pics of the 5N and I noticed that the LED on the back tilts. From what I know from my extensive experiences repairing my kids' Nintendo DS's, I'm willing to guess there's a ribbon cable going from the camera into the LED display. If that's correct, then isn't it likely it's an analog video signal for the LED that could be robbed and transmitted to our goggled eyes on the ground wihout having to use an HDMI-to-analog converter?
Opinions on the idea?

dunno about that, are there analog loop holes in the digital cams?
cuz you would have to figure out how to steal the signal from the chip that doing the output to the panel.

what do you mean by analog "loop holes"?
i was thinking it could be tapped off the ribbon cable by scraping a bit of the wire bare and soldering to it.

Bart, I might be wrong, but I thought LED monitors were fed with digital signals..all 1's & zeros mate.
