Here's our latest highlight film. Most of the footage was filmed at a kayak race in North Carolina on the Green River.

great job Ben!
can you tell us more abouth your setup?
It's a Cinestar 8, 3 axis gimbal, and Hoverfly Pro. We shot this with a mix of Panasonic GH2 and Canon 60D (slow-mo footage). Glad you enjoyed the video.
Why wouldnt you use the gh2 for the same 720 60p? AFAIK the 60d doesnt do 1080/60p right?
Nice stuff as always.
So smooth, yet again... I'm really seeing the importance of a 2 person setup Ben... Makes it so much better. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, as a 2 person crew, once you get in synch you can do some fun shots.
Ben, Do you both wear goggles or watch seperate monitors? How do you get in synch? I gather you talk to each other through the shoot. Who's in command? The pilot or the cameraman? ie: "Get downsteem Ben, I want to shoot this guy coming towards us"... Just out of interest, it'd be awsome to know the process (but not your secrets).
Cheers.
Sounds very well thought out Ben. 'Reacting to the flight path' really shows you guys are in sync. Thanks for sharing mate, appreciate it.I always keep an eye on the copter. It never leaves my sight. Will Wheeler, my camera op, watches an LCD monitor. He often has people watching over his shoulder, as do I. Getting in synch took a fair amount of practice. We talk before a shot, then talk a lot during a flight, then debrief after a shot. Sometimes Will pulls the camera off to let me take a look after a flight so we can discuss it / fix it / celebrate a cool shot. Neither person is technically in charge, but Will is often telling me what to do during a flight. He is also often reacting to the flight path I'm taking.
Nice job on the Edit as well! Sound sync to your cuts was well done. Great job!
