question about props....

Im building a AD-6 HL, with 30 amp esc's and axi 2814-22 motors, am i better off with APC slofly 12x3.8, or the thin electrics? I wanted to get a set of 13" props to try but the thin e's have are 13x6.5 and im wondering of the pitch will be hard on my escs?

The 13 inch won't fit unless you specifcally got the longer arms when you bought the kit, standard issue AD-6 kits will do 12 inch props max. On my AD6 with Pulso 2814 motors I use Graupner 11 x 5 while carrying an AV130 and a pair of 4S 5000 packs and it works fine. I've used 12 x 3.8 and it flew OK but the ESCs got a bit warm spinning the large blades. I've got a set of APC 12 x 6 thin electrics on my Cinestar 6 with the same AXI motors and they work well on that frame, I think they might be OK on the AD6 if it's heavy enough, otherwise I'd stay with 11 inch props for takeoff weights of roughly 7.5 pounds or less.

My AD6 is currently flying on a Naza controller and it works really well on the Graupner 11 x 5, the 12 inch props weren't as stable and I had difficulty finding gain settings that worked, much easier to dial in with the smaller props.
