Quadrotor - Xbox Controller Transmitter ( Is This Possible?)

Hello to the community, So recently I was playing one of my favorite games, Battlefield3. I was thinking during a helicopter flight, "I love the way this controller is setup in game. What if I can make this controller into a radio transmitter and still have these controls?" Well I thought for a while and the only thing I could come up with is: Get a wired xbox controller and plug it into some usb transmitter. Of course I would have to format and map controls on a computer, but is this even possible? Is there a usb 4ch 2.4ghz transmitter box that can take an xbox controller? Any advice is appreciated.

Its possible using the DJI groundstation for PC or using APM mission planner I believe. I have the satek controllers and i've been itching to try the same thing

and you guys are waiting for what? :D
On the same topic. The best way to do this would be with a host USB shield with arduino then tap into a cheap TX (Spektrum dx6i) and feed the pwm values directly from the controller, then theres no PC middle man/ground station lag
