This is a prototype professional quality 3 axis brushless gimbal we designed specifically for the Sony "NEX5 and NEX7" line of cameras. We had plans to begin production on this one but decided to focus our company on larger gimbals. This is a truly amazing product and we have produced some really astounding footage using it. We designed this gimbal to be light but at the same time as rigid as possible. We used 21.5mm carfbon fiber tubes, 2mm thick carbon fiber plate, and 2 mm thick black G10 to construct it. We also wanted each axis to be completely slop free during movement so it uses a specially designed motor cage and large 26mm outboard bearing that rides on an aluminum hub. This is one of the only gimbals you are going to find that has a camera register on the camera tray. A camera register is a method to remove the camera and place it back W/O having to re-balance the camera tray. So when you need to remove the camera battery, or SD card, or simply change setting on the camera all you do is remove one screw and the camera comes out of the gimbal. Its quick and easy to place the camera back and you won't need to re-adjust anything on the gimbal! Again, this is a professional grade gimbal. This gimbal is pre-balanced for the camera. All you need to do is add a Lipo battery, setup the Alexmos (autotune) and go film! We placed a great deal of time into designed it. Below is some test footage we shot using this exact system:
