Problems with Setup Using Futaba

I just did a new build and switched to Futaba. I'm having a problem setting up the Control Modes. I reassigned the Aux 4 channel to the flight mode switch. I can't seem to get enough endpoint adjustment to hit Manual, GPS, and ATT. I can get GPS, ATT and Failsafe, but I would like manual mode if possible. The other problem might be failsafe. When I turn off the transmitter I can see the throttle jump to just over 50% where I set it but in the TX Calibration screen I don't see the Control Mode Switch over to Fail Safe so I don't know if it is going into Failsafe mode. The motors do keep turning but I haven't gone to the flying field to see what happens.

I also tried assigning the Gyro channel to the Flight Mode Switch and same problem not enough adjustment to hit Manual, GPS, and ATT. Same problem with Failsafe when turning off the transmitter.

Thanks

I switched to S Bus and everything including the manual pitch on gimble is working. Now I just need to figure out how to set up a Return to Home switch that puts it in failsafe. I just hate turning off the transmitter.

Here is how I set mine (see URL below). The principle is the same. When offset is on, 3 way switch is Manual - ATTI - GPS and when I flip the offset switch to off I have null - Failsafe - Failsafe. Since I fly ATTI GPS most of the time I configure the failsafe there so I just flip one switch it goes to failsafe.

Follow the values first, then connect to the WKM assistance then play around the offset value and the rate, you will see that the slider will mode so you can set them to whatever you want.

Disclaimer: not sure what is the equivalent if you are using 8FG

I use 8FGS. It's easy to trigger failsafe. If your flight mode switch remains aux 4, just assign LT or RT as the trim switch. Trigger either one of them to its fullest position and check with the screen on the config software that the flight mode has jumped to failsafe.
