Porky S800 need a diet?

Just reading some posts about flight times and weight so I threw my unit on the scale....7.5Kg! That's a full DJI setup with Zenmuse, NEX7, 900 Data link, retracts and Secraft arm stiffeners with two 8000 Nanotech lipos (total 16000mah). Maybe I should ditch the Nano's for a Maxamp 11000? The two 8000mah batteries come out to 2.25Kg whereas the Maxamp is about 1.3. Will this fly at 7.5KG? I'm almost ready to take it up so I'll find out soon enough.

Anyone weigh in on the weight lol? I was looking at the Maxamps 11ah would bring me down to about 6.5kg. Of course they cost $400 a pack and you'd lose 5ah over the two Nanotech packs.

7.5 is too much for the S800. Ditch the two lipos. Maxamps is a terrible battery for the price. At 7.5 kilo a single Lipo is your only option.

Is there a North American distributor, or just oder them direct? These work out to about 140 cheaper than the maxamps pack. I was thinking even if I ditched the small camera, extra DJI video tx and the Secraft parts it would still be a ways off the 7kg limit... So if I go with the Gen Ace pack, that would put my all up weight around 6.8. Wonder what kind of flight time I could expect?

I flew mine.. stock props, with 2 VTX and extra 3S for VTX and Secraft retract pro. Though I did not have the Secraft arms support. got 6 mins with 2 6S 8000 NanoTechs leaving 3.78v/cell. Thought the same about ditchin the 2 batteries for 1.. but twice this year, having 2P batteries helped when one of my batteries ended up failing a cell. I may end up going back to my 2 packs of APLUS 6000 to get the redundant cells on this bigger frame.

Wow, 6min with 16ah seems pretty diappointing. I'll probably start off with single 8ah nano's until a few gen ace packs arrive. I too like the idea of running two packs, but it seems like a pretty steep weight penality. I've been using a simple Quantun cell monitor for a few years giving me individual cell telemetry, so I'll have to keep a sharp eye on the packs. BTW, it's funny how the 8ah packs are specked at 1400g but actually weight in at 1100g. That unusual lol! Usually it's the other way around.
