Anyone with the above setup has problem with the video recording the front/top 2 propellers? I don't really want to adjust the go pro3 to face downwards. Any other methods?

Easy? You call that easy?
It's common with a quad in forward flight. Fly slowly forwards or look down a bit. Flying backwards and sideways should be fine. It will be worse in windy conditions.

That's my preferred setting. Not a big fan of the wide FOV but when I use it I try to tilt the camera down a tad to work in the 1/3 framing. 1/3 sky then 2/3 ground.

I record at 1440P and in editing, you can cut out the top of the clip when converting it to be 1080P. Doesn't completely fix props that show up with steep forward movement, but it works.

Otherwise you have to tilt down a tad and move slower. Curse of the position of the gimbal and FOV of the lens.
