Is there somebode how has experience with this setup:
F550
DJI WKM
AXI 2217/20 x 6

I need (landinggear (aeroxcraft) 180gram + gimmball 200 + camera 210 gr) 590 gram payload.

Is this a good setup or any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum bertm. I have some experience with AXI 2814 and 550. I have never tried 2217. With that said, I just checked them out and they look great. I would think with the right prop choice, you would have no problems with that setup. In fact, I think it would be a great setup. You will love those AXI motors.

Are you going to use Aerocraft gimble and fly a GoPro? I really like that landing gear setup. Anyways have fun - John

Hi guys, first post on the site.

I've been building a couple of multi's over the last year starting with a Gaui 330x and upgrading that to a HoverThings VC-450. Some of the modifications I've dove are using Cobra 2217/16 kv1180 motors (love them) with ExceedRC Proton 30 amp ESC, NAZA control, Futaba R617FS coupled to a Futaba 7C, Gens ace 5000 mAh 40c battery with 8" Gaui props, GoPro Hero2 with protective skeleton case. I get about 10 minutes flight time with this setup. Total weight 1757g.

Recently I've been building a heavy lift DJI F550. I'm using some Exceed RC 2220-890kv motors which are struggling under the weight of the current configuration. I purchased a PhotoHigher AV130 gimbal so that I can ultimately use a Sony NEX or similar mirrorless camera (the new Sony RX100 looks promising - especially in the weight department), right now I'm using a GoPro Hero2 with skeleton protective case. I have Turnigy Plush 25 amp ESC's, NAZA control, Spektrum AR8000 coupled to a DX7s, Gemfan 10x4.5 props, ReadyMade OSD camera for FPV (not there yet), Gens ace 5000mAh battery. I barely get 2 minutes flight time from this so I'm looking for a decent motor that can handle the payload I've created. I'm considering the NTM Prop Drive Series 35-30 1100kv, Suppo 2814/8 1000kv or iPower 2814 short shaft 750kv motors.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. I've attached a couple photos of my setups.

Thanks all,
