Orientation / emergency light beacon

Found this while walking around Ambleside in the rain! I had come up to the Lake District to try and get some pictures of the Autum colours but the rain aint stopped since I got here.. So a bit of retail therapy was called for. This beacon will flash, strobe or just on for hours giving you the chance to find a downed copter or just to use as an orientation beacon..

It clips straight on to the DroidWorx frames perfectly

Woof! That looks pretty good. I don't suppose you've had a chance to test it in bright sunshine!

Thanks for posting my battery meter BTW, I got it today...it certainly is a must for safe flying :)

Hey Dave do you think this beacon is better then the lights you mentioned a few weeks back from that PDF file? What kind of battery does it use?

It is a totally independent light. It is powered by its own battery that will last a day or so depending on setting. I am going to use it as an emergency light beacon id I lose my copter and as an orientation light... is it as bright as the superled's... no but thats not its intended use. BUT it does help if you stick it on the back u will see it and it will help with orientation
