How reliable is the SimonK firmware either for Blueseries or Maytech.Does it worth doing it on a 5000$ (or even more) multicopter???Are there any significant changes to justify the 'risk' of a bug in the firmware program that may have devastating consequences for our copter or even other people properties, etc??

No experience myself with that. Folks report mixed results flashing the firmware - could be good - could be disasterous - I opt to stay on the safe side and use the firmware as is.
