I started a few months ago with a HeroHD. I believe I was shooting at 720P 30fps. Using Movie Maker to edit, and when I uploaded to YouTube, videos looked great. Fast forward, I now have a Hero 3 Black, shooting 1280P, 60fps in the medium width mode. When viewing the raw footage in in Quick Time, video look great. When I upload to Movie Maker, and it does it's conversion I get serious band of pixilation across the entire frame in the middle or the top, along with colors washing out or loss of lack of detail (leaves blending together to look like one clump instead of individual leaves). I tried uploading some raw footage to YouTube and experienced the same thing. Can I avoid this using iMovie, or some other editing software? Or do I need to go back to 720P 30fps? I was practicing flying and doing dives at a very low levels, and in Quick Time I can see the individual grass blades, with some great pucker value. By the time I get it uploaded to YouTube it's really hard to see what I was doing. I need something where I can take 30minutes of video and cut it down to three without losing resolution.
