High all great to be part of forum.
I am totally new to this but have learnt quickly.. but i would like to know the answer to one question

can someone explain
I have an fpv system and would like to add a recorder, the system has only 3 wires a red, black and white cable, in my normal life I understand audio and video cables but having the 3 throws me…. I think the red and black are the pos and neg is the white the video signal ???

Thanks in advance for the help

Hard to say for sure without knowing what your transmitter for FPV is. I use an ImersionRC brand one. I have red, black and yellow. Black is neg, yellow is the video sig. Red is +5v DC for powering the camera/recorder. I also have a separate plug with a red/black for input power. I'd look on the plug for yours. I'd bet its marked?

sorry its a cheap one an arc made in china
all the cables supplied are red white black. I think they are the same except for colour of yellow and white
the camera a sony super HAD CCD has a work voltage of DC 8.5v -DC 18v
Work current DC 12v 50mA

All I am trying to do is insert a recorder which has yellow for video signal
