This product was designed with the X5/X5R in mind. In itself a fantastic camera system, the platform currently lacks the ability to provide for the balancing of the camera/lens when several different lenses are used and/or additional equipment like variable ND filters, polarizers, lens hoods, etc., etc. The brushless gimbal servo motors are simply not powerful enough to handle the extra weight this equipment adds to the equation. Extensive testing of materials and methods of application were undertaken to assure removal of (if necessary or desired) would not affect camera finish or interfere with the cooling ports in the camera base. This Kit provides 45 grams of counterweight and allows for the use of different lenses and filters without the concern of over burgeoning the delicate motors. The gimbal arm motor that controls the pitch of the camera on the starboard side is especially sensitive of grossly "out-of-balance" systems. If the system is "balanced" pre-flight, the gimbal servo motors will not have to fight to keep the camera pointed in the desired location. Check it out @ www.ebay.com/itm/-/182063679059?
