Hi All,
I'm a long time RC enthusiast but am just getting started in multirotors. I'm from Melbourne, Australia and during the week I'm a mech engineer.
A friend of mine got me interested in multis, after he built a great little quadcopter and successfully demo-ed it at work. Myself being interested in aerospace and particularly UAS technology, I immediately became interested and decided to start out by building a hexrotor. I have a hexa frame kit from Xaircraft, and at the moment it's partially complete (I'll post a photo below). I'm having some minor issues getting all the motors and ESCs to work nicely together, but I think I'm making progress - I might check out the rest of the forum then make another post if it hasn't already been covered.
My long term goal is to build a multirotor UAV, which incorporates some FPV elements, for long range photography and real time video surveillance. But for now stage 1 is just getting the RC Hexa to fly and mastering the controls.
Anyway I hope to contribute a bit to the forums and I'm sure I'll get a lot out of them to help me as I continue the journey and meet some fellow enthusiasts and experts.
Cheers,
Andrew
