I would love to see a feature that could allow me to flip a switch and descend at a specified rate (i.e feet per second). This could be per-programmed in the set-up utility or maybe via an end point adjustment as if we were changing a gain setting. Three way switch with no descent, slow descent or fast descent. Flip the switch or have a slew to be able to stop the descent. I have no idea how this would work, barometer or GPS? One reason is that when I get higher than I can truly tell what the craft is doing, I have a hard time bringing it down at an even pace. It would also allow us to find the sweet descent rate before it looses stability.
Just a thought, since we are all hoping Hoverfly will start releasing some new functions. I am sure something must be in the works. Maybe this can be one of them. I am not sure if any other system offers this.
