Is there anything I need that I don't have or anything on here that I don't need

Mini Quad Bros Kit

[1] ~ $169 Is it worth it to upgrade to the better motors? they are not in stock at the moment, but I know it is a $30 extra charge

Taranis ~ $205 I here the taranis is the transmitter to get so i'm going to go for it since I'm going to use it for a long time. I know hobbyking has it for 170 but it is out of stock, I found it for 205 somewhere but is it worth it to get the taranis plus for only 220 (15 more) since hobby king has it in stock?

Go Pro Hero 3 White - I already own this so I'm going to use it and get some cables for FPV

Turnigy Charger

[2] ~ $30 I was going to get the 50W version since I don't really need 80W but its $7 more and its in stock compared to the other. What power supply to I need to power this, I'm also using this to charge my other quads in my flair

Batteries

[3] ~ $10 x 2 These look pretty decent and look good for the price are they to big for the quad? I was going to get 2, should I get more?
EDIT: I'm going to get 3-4 nano quad 1.3 batteries

Go Pro

[4] ~ $2 GoPro FPV Cable

Tx & Rx

[5] ~ $55 So I guess the plan with this is to connect the transmitter to my GoPro on the quad and then connect the receiver to a little monitor or a spare Portable DVD player I have, to get into FPV before I buy a fat shark

So is this a good setup and plan? am I spending my money wisely? is there anything else I need? thanks

Fun! Lots to say here, but first I would suggest you think about some sort of lost model beacon, buzzer, just something to help you find it in the event of an accidental loss. Where/how do you intend to fly?

Also look at US-based sources as much as possible although HobbyKing is prompt if you order from the US warehouse. multirotormania.com readymaderc.com getfpv.com buddyrc.com are all great, I check all of the above as each have their strengths, deals, etc.

Taranis Plus highly recommended.

For a mini the battery I would look at would be the 1.5 nanotech. It appears not to be in stock in the US, so the 1.3 nanotech is also a good option. You could do a 2200, but keep in mind you may not benefit from the added "fuel" since it is heavier.

I think Im going with the 1.3 or 1.5 nano tech I heard that the 1.3 lasts longer becasue it has a higher C rating, is this true? definitely will be going with the taranis. Also do I need telemetry or OSD? what do I need to do it if I want to? and what is the benefit? I'm assuming I view this on the FPV screen or the Tx

which battery lasts longer depends on many factors. I've seen Bruce's rcmodelreview video on batteries for mini quads, I'm guessing that's what you're referring to. The point he was trying to make is that the 1.3 with the higher discharge C rating compounded with the lighter weight will be more "punchy". It's like running special non oxygenated gasoline in your street rod. However, it may or may not last as long as a 1.5, think of the mAh rating as the size of your gas tank. Weight impacts efficiency so there is a theoretical tipping point where a larger battery will give you a shorter flight time, or no flight at all, due to the added weight.

For me, I choose 1.5's since I don't want insane crazy performance anyway, and prefer maximum flight time. Those nano-tech 1.5Ah 35-70C batteries are really lightweight and work great for me on a Blackout mini h.

OSD, that is something you could always add later. It'll just go between your camera and vtx.

Telemetry, since you're going with FrSky, this voltage sensor just plugs into the balance port on your battery, and into your X-series receiver. This makes it trivial to set up a voice warning when your battery is low (I set it up to watch cell voltage). Other sorts of telemetry you'd get from your flight controller, again, that can come later... have fun flying first!
