MWC quadro build (with discussion)

Hello,

I'm still in the early stages, picking components.

I want to build my first quadrocopter based on a Crius MWC SE with the MultiWii software.

The frame will be a standard aluminum frame, with ~25cm arms and a centerplate.

I'm still wondering which motors to get.

At first I will want to learn flying quadrocopters properly. Once I get the hang of it I want to add a camera gimbal and carry
a MFT camera with lens weighing around 400g. With the gimbal I guess the total extra load will be 600g.

That's why I think I will use somewhat stronger motors that weigh around 72g each and go for 4s instead of 3s.

The motors I am considering are
  • Sunnysky X2216 880kv, 76g, max 20A, 1140g thrust with 11x47 (for 19,63€/ea at goodluckbuy)
  • HiModel A2217/9, 950KV, 72g, max 25A, 290W, around 20€
Are these motors OK for a 50cm aluminum quadcopter frame? Or are they too strong perhaps?
