It's basically MS's version of flash. A way to present rich media with animations & so on.

Funnily enough I played making one today with just a point and shoot on my hexa, mostly to get the camera working right.

My partner and I have created DEMs with point clouds but as we do it commercially now I'm not telling you how ;-)

Heres one that goes a bit further from last year.

Structure from motion is the next big thing in UAS sensing, it makes life much much easier.

I even have a blog about the subject... although I don't do much there.

Photosynth is not the entire answer but its a good way of making a point cloud. I am now heading to the Three Fyshes, its in my second synth ;-)

Fantastic, an expert in da house. I wonder if I buy you a few,-too many- beers down the Three Fyshes you would divlge your DEM secrets.

All the best.
