[Title should say "Mode 3 not Mode 2", its a typo]
As a new flyer I cant help but notice that MW3 default stick layout is
"Right Stick" look right FPS, look left FPS, forward and backward
"Left Stick" is move right(strife) move(strife) left, up down (look not move)

Makes me think this is most like Mode 3 for a Multicoptor
"Mode 3 Right Stick" turn/rotate craft right (look right fpv), turn/rotate craft left (look left fpv), craft forward and craft backward
"Mode 3 Left Stick" is move craft right move craft left, go up, go down
To me that is more like Mode 3. Guess it makes me wonder if flying Mode 3 would be more "natural" for for someone that has played these FPS games 10+ years (like me)?
Im afraid to change my DX8 to a Mode 3 in fear of planting into the the dirt
But I wonder if anyone else flies Mode 3?
