Mikrokopter MK's new XL power dist. boards

I know Dave had a bit of a time getting his Hexa board to work and I just recently tried to wire an Okto XL board into my heli only to have three BL's blow out when I applied power. Is there something about the new XL boards that makes them harder to wire than the originals? Has anyone discovered an extra precaution that is worth taking to make them wire up correctly or am I just all thumbs with a soldering iron? I thought I had it checked out pretty well before I put the battery to it.

Hey Bart I found out the hard way too.. I beleive you can check them before powering up by putting tester on c and d spots on power board and it will tell you if you have short or not. My tester read short and i suppose it would read 0's if all was good.
