Do many or any of you use the SD card slot on the MK NC to log flight data? Exactly what sort of data is logged and how does one access it?

One more thing , to coin a phrase Mr. Jobs, I am sure I remember reading posts where use of this SD card slot can sometimes result for weird MR behaviour. Is this true?

It loggs files in GPX format which contains datas from your FC and NC like volt/amp/temp/GPS coordinates/etc, basically like a flight recorder.

Very useful. You essentially have a flight data recorder that logs everything. Great for optimizing your setup and then monitoring the status of the whole machine on demand.

Droider did have a problem that he was able to trace back to a particular brand of card he had in the SD slot, I haven't really heard much about anyone else running into the same problem. Weird behavior with MK electronics is not by any means limited to odd SD cards in the Navi board, I've had lots of unexplained oddities with both of mine, some came and went and others stuck around for a while before the right mix of trial and error and seemingly insignificant changes fixed the problem.

I did read somewhere it was due to the size of the card...4GB & above I think from memory caused problems, could someone clarify this???

My understanding is that the nc has a 2GB limit. The log files are small (~1MB for a sixteen minute flight) so 2 gigs stores quite a few flights.

So, we have the 2GB micro SD card and we have the MK_GPX_0016 program AND the MK_GPX_MDI0102_beta program (for FC 0.86 apparently).

What next? Neither program recognises the SD card or the file that shows up on the card after turning on the MR for a couple of minutes. Does the SD card have to be formatted?
