Mikrokopter Mikrokopter FM .88 Compass Calibration (Navi v1.1)

Bartman

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
I've got the new firmware loaded and after a successful flight I'm feeling cautiously optimistic. The camera controls seem smoother and more competent so, whether or not that was an intentional part of the update, I'm happy.

I had trouble though with the compass calibration. When I did the first combination of stick inputs I'd get two beeps followed by three beeps with the second stick input. At this point the FC should be "clicking" but mine wasn't. After a few tries and some time searching the internet I found that if I went through all the stick inputs in succession (without doing any of the turning and calibrating stuff), then did the first stick combination again, I'd get one beep and I was able to then go through the process of calibration as it's advertised to work.

I have the older Navi board with the add-on MK Mag board. The newer boards with the integrated mag compass may not have this issue.

Spiralling out of control
Bart,

Same here with the compass, I also have the older navi boards. I thought I must be imputting on the stix wrongly but it calabrated on the second or third try.

Hey Guys,

I just did the compass calibration on my MK with FC2.1 and Navi2.0 with no issues on the first try. So maybe it is a Navi1.1 issue?
