Maximuum altitude limit

Is it altitude above sea level or altitude above the ground where it takes off from?

I had mine set for 100 yards, but it did not seem like it could have been anywhere near that today when I maxed out my altitude. My altitude is about 220 feet above sea level.

Thanks.

Maximum altitude is calculated from your take off point. I live in hill country at 200 metres elevation. I initially set my maximum altitude to 120 metres to comply with uk regulations. However I quickly ran into problems because the ground I am flying over is often higher than my take off point and I have had to change the maximum altitude to allow for that.
