Another DIY project I've been working on:

On this build I wanted to move the battery to the top for better balance.
And make the arms skinnier, for better efficiency.
Also to see if I could make it lighter.

Using:

"Connect It" components from www.rcr.com.au, for the main body
and
15mm "Quad" Tasmania Oak timber moulding, for the arms.

Electronics:

Flight Controller: DJI NAZA
Motors: Turnigy NTM 28-26 1200kv
ESC: Turnigy Plush 25a or Carbon Bird 18a
Battery: Zippy Compact 3s 4000mah 25c
Propellers: Gemfan 9x4.7

Frame weight 382 grams
Frame weight with electronics 835 grams
Frame weight with Zippy compact 3s 4000mah battery 1122 grams
Frame weight with FPV, Gopro camera and Zippy Compact 3s 4000mah battery 1412 grams
