Hoverfly Magnetic declination

Hi HF team,

I got a question and something I would like to add to wishlist.

I found magnetic declination value in the log file on the SD card. It says 50, does it mean the declination is 5.0 deg?

Can you add the special box for magnetic declination that user can type it by himself. Magnetic declination changes every year.

You are correct that the declination changes each year; however, it changes by less than a degree, which is currently the lowest resolution that the HoverflyGPS looks for.

I have asked the development team to review the current DECLINAT. file and consider releasing an annual update. (The current version is just over a year old.) But the only time this will make a difference is if your declination moves from, say, 4.4 to 4.6, where the rounding process would change it from 4 degrees to 5 degrees. Even that is a minor change and again, it won't affect the vast majority of users.

Thanks Ben for the answer, but could you tell me what does 50 (declination)mean in the log file ? Is it 5.0 degree?
