led lighting for Hexcopter

I am building a hex copter using a naza V2 flight control

How can I hook up the LED lights.

I have the led strips from hobby king but they run on 12v my copter is a 4S 14.8V

If it were 3S I could hook to the balance port of battery.

I have a power distribution board for my 6 motors with 2 open places to connect something to.

a bunch of different kinds but they all do the same, I got some from a vendor in the u.s.

can I solder it in line between my power dist board and the LEDs I would solder some bullet connectors on one end of a wire, solder to voltage reg, solder wire to 6 way jst harness and plug in the LEDs to the jst harness.

Or just use the 4S balance port but use the 3rd cell wire and the ground wire, it will do the same thing.
My rigs are on 6S so I get 6S female balance plugs and rip out all the wires but the 3rd cell wire and the ground. And run my LEDs from that.
No issues what so ever.
